How to Prepare for Your Soil Evaluation

What You Need to Provide

• Property address and parcel number (or legal description)
• Approximate location of the proposed structure and septic area
• Any existing survey or site plan if available
• County health department application (we can help you locate this)
• Contact information for your septic designer or installer if already selected

Site Access

Kevin will need access to the proposed septic area on your property. If the site is locked or gated, please make arrangements before the scheduled visit. Heavy vegetation or brush in the proposed area should be cleared if possible to allow boring access.

Turnaround Time

Reports are typically completed and submitted within one to two business days of the site visit. Complex sites or those requiring pit testing may take slightly longer. We'll communicate the timeline when scheduling.

County Health Department

Cool Soil Consulting submits the completed evaluation report directly to the county health department on your behalf. We also send a copy to you and to your septic designer or installer. You do not need to handle that step separately.
