Ag Consulting

Why It Matters

Your Consultant Works for Someone.
We Work for You.

Every retail agronomist, every seed dealer, every fertilizer salesman who hands you a prescription has a financial interest in what goes on your field. Cool Soil Consulting does not.

"We don't sell inputs. We sell knowledge. Our only interest is accurate soil science and your bottom line."

As an Indiana Registered Soil Scientist (IRSS #156), Kevin brings a credential — not a commission — to every field visit. That independence is the foundation of every recommendation we make.

How Zone-Based Ag Consulting Works

Your field isn't one soil. It never was. Here's how we identify what's actually under your feet and turn it into prescriptions you can act on.

Map the Zones

We use terrain analysis and elevation data to identify distinct soil zones within your field based on landscape position — dry ridges, transitional slopes, wet low areas.

Verify the Ground

Physical soil borings confirm what the terrain predicts. We measure depth, texture, drainage, and limiting layers — the physical facts that determine what your soil can actually produce.

Score Each Zone

Every zone gets a FieldIQ™ capability score — an objective measure of what that ground can produce based on its physical properties, not last year's yield map.

Build the Prescription

Zone-specific P, K, and pH targets based on physical soil properties. A VRT map your fertilizer dealer can load directly into their spreader. Stop spending the same per acre on ground that produces half as much.

Let's Talk About Your Ground
